South Australian iNaturalists

The ‘South Australian iNaturalists’ is a digital Collections Project on the nature recording citizen science platform iNaturalist.

Established in July 2019 as a way to bring together iNaturalist contributors across South Australia, the project automatically collects all observations in SA to show them off in the one place.

The project has no taxa restrictions, so it collects observations of all species no matter how big or small.

The Project Journal provides a monthly summary of observation statistics for South Australia including featured observations and other local projects.

If you live in South Australia, or have in the past, or have a particular interest or knowledge of places and species in SA please consider joining the project and contributing your sightings to iNaturalist to show off the best of South Australia’s biodiversity.

All observations submitted to iNaturalist are shared with the Atlas of Living Australia and the Global Biodiversity Information Facility to help scientists utilise your contributions.
